How Long to Beat Red Dead Redemption 2? Long Answer

If you were to just blaze through the game without checking out its side content, it should take you around 60 hours.

With that said, playing a Rock star game just to skim through the story and then be done with it is not how these games were made to be played.

There are tons of side activities and quests you can engage in. All of the content on offer in the game, be it side content or main, lives up to Rock star’s high standards.

Just to give you an idea about how massive the game is, the script is about 2,000 pages long. This includes all dialog for the main story, side missions, optional dialog, and every other scripted encounter.

With that said, this doesn’t take into account the time you’ll be spending with the game’s other activities such as hunting, gambling, and exploration. You’ll find so much to do in Red Dead Redemption 2, and you’ll be able to live out your fantasies of being a cowboy outlaw to the fullest.

If you choose to engage in the side activities and challenges, you might find yourself spending upwards of 100 hours. This is not to mention trying to go for % 100 completions or tracking all of the collectibles. Both of these things can bump up the playtime to the hundreds.

There’s also the online component of the game, which is a whole new beast altogether. However, the single player component alone is capable of engaging the player for anywhere between 60 hours to the hundreds.
